Night and day. In just 48 hours, (almost) everything seems to have returned to normal for FDJ-Suez and its leader, Demi Vollering. The worried and concerned faces seen in the bus paddock after the finish of the third stage of the Tour de France Femmes have given way to broad smiles and warm hugs of congratulations.

It wasn't quite party time on Wednesday, July 30, but it wasn't far off. The Dutchwoman, the big favorite for the event, winner of the Tour in 2023 and second in 2024, reassured herself. Present at the front of the group of favorites, managing to follow all the attacks, she even came close to winning at the finish in Guéret (Creuse), beaten by a few centimeters by the Mauritian Kim Le Court . The rider feels "a little tense," especially in the neck, but seemed very relieved.
